A short walk from Euston Station, this apartment is a practical and polished base in central London – the kind of place that works as hard as you do. The sleek living space is where you'll do all your unwinding, and it can double as an extra bedroom when the sofa bed is in use. When you're ready to venture out, the British Museum, the British Library, and buzzing King's Cross are within walking distance. Plus, with the station nearby, zipping around the city is a breeze.

Home truths

  • At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area. That said, we think it works best for two people rather than a group of four.

  • Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. You'll also hear a slight rumble from the trains in the background – mostly unnoticeable, but something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper.

  • Parking in London can be tricky and costly – we recommend arriving by public transport or exploring on foot and by Tube where possible. Euston Station is a short walk away.

  • A security camera overlooks the front and back entrances. There's also a smart home device inside, which monitors noise decibel levels but does not record audio or video. All devices are on the exterior of the property.

About Somers Town

Wedged between Euston, King's Cross St Pancras and Camden Town, Somers Town is a rare pocket of central London that has managed to retain a genuinely authentic, unpretentious community feel to it. Many Londoners won't even have heard of it but it's a great base if you want to stay in central London without a huge pricetag and there are some great old boozers (The Cock Tavern is our favourite) whose decor and clientele haven't changed a jot for decades. Given its location, it's incredible how few tourists you'll find in these secret back street pubs.
