Originally a historic schoolhouse, this vast villa along the sparkling Dalmatian coast is now a retreat that leaves little to be desired – complete with an in-house spa, a pool with sweeping views, and enough space for everyone to spread out. While the villa's origins are steeped in history, the interiors are contemporary, with high-end finishes and a resort-like feel. Families are particularly well catered for here, thanks to the dedicated playroom and playground, while the spa offers a quieter escape for the grown-ups. Between days spent out on the water, afternoons in the sauna and Jacuzzi, and long dinners overlooking the coast, slowing down comes remarkably easy.
