If rolling out of bed and straight into the sea sounds appealing, this Sicilian villa is a very good shout. The water is literally just beyond the gate, while the saltwater pool back at home makes it far too easy to alternate between the two all day long. Most evenings end up outside too – barbecue going, wine open, sunset doing its thing over the water. The location works nicely too. Marina di Modica’s beach clubs, restaurants, and cafés are around a fifteen-minute walk away, while the wider south-east coast of Sicily is easy to explore by car.
