Spread across three apartments within a medieval village in the Tuscan hills, this villa is a rare find – historic in feel, generous in scale, and set within five thousand square metres of landscaped grounds. Two private pools sit among the olive trees, with sun loungers and a shaded alfresco dining terrace alongside them. Inside, each apartment has its own character: exposed wooden beams and skylights at the top, wide windows framing the hills on the first floor. Pienza is a ten-minute drive, and the rolling landscape of Val d'Orcia – UNESCO-listed and extraordinarily beautiful – lies twenty-five minutes away.

Home truths
You'll need a car here. Castelmuzio has a restaurant and a grocery store, but the nearest supermarket is 14km away in Sinalunga, and the wider region's highlights – Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino – all require driving.
The outdoor grounds cover 5,000m² and include steps throughout – something to factor in if anyone in your group has mobility considerations.
The swimming pool is only available for use between April and end-October.
The ceiling in some areas is on the low side. It might not be suitable for taller guests.
There's an unfenced pond in the garden here. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.

Host
This home is managed by Oliver
This home is managed by a business on behalf of its owner. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay.
