A remodelled 1958 midcentury home in Palm Springs' historic Little Beverly Hills neighbourhood, this house is built around its private walled yard – where a pool and hot tub sit framed by the San Jacinto Mountains. Walls of glass connect the interior to that outdoor space, so the mountains are rarely out of sight. Come evening, the fire pit lounge and built-in barbecue station make it easy to stay outside long after dark. Hiking trails and a nature preserve sit directly across the street for those who want to actually use the desert, not just admire it.
