Kips Bay is a mainly residential neighbourhood, moments away from the rush of Midtown, which has lovely waterfront views across to Brooklyn and Queens. The neighbourhood combines historic brick townhouses with new high-rise apartments, and is home to some of the country's best hospitals - a good neighbourhood for the hypochondriacs amongst you perhaps? Some people accuse it of being non-descript and, it's true, it's definitely not going to win...
