Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
A ground-floor apartment that opens directly onto a quiet courtyard garden is a rare find in Paris, and this one in the 18th arrondissement delivers exactly that calm. The living room faces the greenery, making it a peaceful retreat after a day out exploring, and there's room for everyone to enjoy breakfasts together around the dining table. Sacré-Cœur is a thirty-minute walk, Montmartre's village squares are close by, and the Moulin Rouge is just down the hill in Pigalle – so you'll hardly be bored. Plus, the nearby metro keeps the rest of Paris well within reach.

Home truths
At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
A handful of guests have mentioned that the neighbourhood isn't particularly welcoming at night. The building itself has a gated entrance and coded entry, so once you're inside you'll find it secure and quiet.
Well-behaved pets are welcome to accompany you during your stay.
You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.

About Canal Saint Martin - Oberkampf
Canal Saint Martin is to Paris what Williamsburg once was to New York or Shoreditch was to London. This part of town still retains a certain grittiness that has been largely lost from the abovementioned counterparts - gentrification is undoubtedly on its way but the area still feels authentic and edgy so get there before this changes! You'll be rubbing shoulders with Paris's hippest young things, smoking and drinking outside...
