Tucked into a quiet courtyard on the third floor of a Le Marais building, this apartment in the third arrondissement offers a rare stillness for somewhere so central. Original whitewashed beams give the combined living and sleeping space a calm, considered character – simple but comfortable for two. Step outside and Place des Vosges is minutes away on foot, while the Centre Pompidou, Musée Picasso, and the neighbourhood's labyrinth of boutiques and cafes are all within easy walking distance. The apartment is on the third floor with no lift, and the stairs are steep – we'd recommend travelling with a compact bag rather than a large suitcase.
This is a studio layout, so the bed and living area share one room – it works well for two, but there's no separate bedroom to retreat to.
Le Marais is one of Paris's most walkable neighbourhoods – you'll be able to reach most central sights on foot, so a car isn't needed here.
