Perched on the top floor of a quiet Le Marais courtyard building, this studio apartment is a calm retreat in one of Paris's most vibrant neighbourhoods. Though snug, the minimal palette and coordinated furnishings elevate this home from a city base to somewhere you'll enjoy relaxing in the evenings (you might just want to avoid the four-storey climb as much as possible, too). The kitchenette and desk are nifty additions that make this home ideal for longer stays, too. Place des Vosges is just minutes away on foot, Notre-Dame a thirty-minute stroll across the Seine, and the Centre Pompidou a ten-minute walk away – so you're connected to the city's best sights.

Home truths
You'll be climbing a narrow staircase to reach the fourth floor as there's no lift in the building, so this home may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility or those with heavy luggage.
You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
