Tucked into the lively 11th arrondissement, this apartment is as well-placed as Paris gets – Place de la Bastille is minutes away, Marché d'Aligre is within easy walking distance, and Canal Saint-Martin's iron footbridges are a short stroll from the door. Back inside, the retro-style bedroom – all bold geometry and real character – offers a warm welcome after a busy day. The apartment is on the first floor and accessed via stairs only – there is no lift in the building, so it may not suit guests with mobility considerations or heavy luggage.
At 30 sqm, this is a compact apartment best suited to one or two guests travelling together. It can sleep up to four, but the space will feel cosy with a full group, and two will be sleeping on the sofa bed.
You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
Street noise carries into the apartment, particularly in the bedroom, so you may hear passers-by and traffic during the night. If you're a light sleeper, consider bringing earplugs.
Metro line 9 is just moments away, making it straightforward to reach central Paris on foot without needing a taxi or rideshare.
