Tucked into the hills between Florence and Siena, this historic Chianti estate sits near an ancient monastery with vineyards pressing in on all sides. The pool terrace – edged by roses and weathered stone – is where most days will begin and end, with rolling countryside stretching out beyond it. Olive trees shade an alfresco dining terrace that was made for long evenings, and the grounds are generous enough to wander. Across the main villa, a self-contained apartment, and the annexed barn, groups of up to sixteen have room to gather or slip away – Florence is about fifty minutes by car when you're ready for a day trip.

Home truths

  • While most of the bathrooms aren't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.

  • The estate is made up of three separate buildings – the main villa, an apartment, and the barn annexe – so guests spread across different structures rather than one connected home. The rooms are also set over multiple floors, so this may not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.

  • Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay.
