Home truths
The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
This is a large estate designed for groups of up to twenty-six, so the layout spans multiple living areas and decks. If you're travelling in a smaller party, it's worth knowing the home is scaled for a crowd – some spaces may feel expansive rather than intimate.
If you're travelling with little ones, the home is child-friendly and your host may be able to advise on any available equipment. It's worth reaching out in advance to confirm exactly what's on hand for younger guests.
You'll likely want a car here, as public transport doesn't serve the home directly. Heavenly Ski Resort and Lake Tahoe Boulevard are both around five minutes away by car.
Road conditions can change quickly in this area, so four-wheel drive or snow chains for two-wheel drive vehicles may be required during your stay.
The outdoor sink next to the grill is only available during the summer season and is unavailable from 15th October to 1st June.

About South Lake Tahoe
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. Southern Lake Tahoe is where the majority of these activities (and the majority of the nightlife) is based. In contrast to the slower north, there's a bustling arts scene, late-night restaurants and plenty of casinos in Nevada.
