Freight trains run along the rear of the building and can be heard during your stay. Triple-glazed windows help reduce the noise, and your host provides sound machines and earplugs for added comfort.
The building sits on the same block as a local rescue mission, so you'll notice typical city foot traffic and activity from people accessing nearby services. The building itself is fully secure, but the surrounding area is lively and mixed-use rather than a quiet neighbourhood.
At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
