Freight trains run directly behind the building and can be heard during your stay. The windows are triple-glazed to help reduce noise, and your host provides sound machines and earplugs for added comfort.
The building sits on the same block as a local rescue mission, so you'll notice city foot traffic and activity from people accessing nearby services. The building itself is secure-access, but the surrounding area is lively and mixed-use rather than a quiet residential setting.
Parking in the on-site upper-level garage is free but not guaranteed — it's first-come, first-served across around twenty to thirty spaces.
