Sitting in the heart of Porthleven, this house puts the harbour, beaches, and independent shops all within a short walk – and the South West Coast Path sets off right from the village. A vaulted ceiling in the living space makes this snug home feel bigger – though you might find that kids make an immediate beeline for the bunk room, where a built-in climbing wall gets you to the top bunk. When the sun comes out, the walled courtyard delivers – alfresco dining, a hammock, and the kind of slow Cornish afternoon that's hard to leave.

Home truths
Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's parking available on the premises.
While this home can accommodate an additional two guests on a single bed and a pull-out bed in the loft, the maximum occupancy is six guests. This loft room is accessed via a pull-down ladder-style staircase rather than a fixed stair, and headroom up there is limited – it works well as a single sleeping space but isn't suited to guests with limited mobility or anyone who finds tight spaces uncomfortable.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. Request them in advance to make sure everything is ready for your arrival.
The top bunk in the bunk room is not suitable for adults – it's sized and positioned for children only.
For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.

About Porthleven
Once a sanctuary for stranded seamen whose ships had been wrecked off England’s south coast, it’s no longer an unhappy coincidence that will take you to Porthleven. The town is a popular seaside destination with one of the best food scenes in Cornwall – Michael Caines has a restaurant here. Aside from its culinary offering, Britain’s most southerly port is known for its boat-filled harbour, pretty Victorian terraces, and 70-foot-high,...
