Le Marais is one of Paris's most rewarding neighbourhoods to be based in, and this compact apartment puts you right at the heart of it. Afternoon light pours through classic Parisian windows into the living room – a simple pleasure that makes the apartment feel warm on a grey day. The kitchen is well set up for proper meals in, and the separate toilet and shower room keep mornings easy for two. Temple Metro is a five-minute walk, and from there the Louvre is a fifteen-minute ride; Notre-Dame Cathedral is around twenty minutes on foot.

Home truths
This home is only available to those studying or travelling for work – you’ll need to provide proof from your university or employer.
The apartment is on the first floor with no lift in the building, so you'll be using the stairs every time you come and go – worth bearing in mind if you have heavy luggage or mobility considerations.
At 35 square metres, this is a compact Paris apartment best suited to two people travelling light. It's ideal for a city base, but there isn't much room to spread out.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot. You'll need to request it in advance.
As is common in France, the toilet is separate from the bathroom.
