Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Tahoe City is a year-round destination, and this apartment leans into that fully – sitting close to both the lake and the ski slopes, it works just as well in powder season as it does in summer. Evenings call for gathering around the fireplace, while the shared pool and sauna give you somewhere to decompress. Pets are welcome, free parking is on site, and there's a barbecue for alfresco meals when the weather obliges.

Home truths
This is an apartment in a shared building, so the pool, sauna, and outdoor areas are used by other guests in the complex. The pool is seasonal, meaning it won't be available in the winter months.
You'll need a car to make the most of the area – Lake Tahoe's beaches, ski resorts, and restaurants are spread out, and most errands require a drive. Free parking is available at the apartment.
Well-behaved pets are welcome to join you during your stay.

About Carnelian Bay
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
