Tucked into the pine forest near Lake Tahoe, this Kings Beach house is a natural base for both ski season and warmer months – Northstar California Resort is less than a fifteen-minute drive away. Inside, two fireplaces keep things warm, including a two-sided one beside a jetted tub in the main suite bathroom, which creates a spa-like atmosphere. Two decks and a balcony make it easy to soak up the magic of the outdoors, whether you're grilling or simply breathing in the mountain air. A separate lower-floor family room gives larger groups the space they need.

The main living area and one bedroom are on the upper floor, while the family room and two further bedrooms sit on the lower level.
If you're travelling with little ones, a high chair and a travel cot are already in the home, along with children's dinnerware.
There's no air conditioning here.

About Kings Beach
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
