A timber cabin tucked into the Sierra Nevada forest, this house earns its keep in every season. The living room's stone hearth fireplace and vaulted, beam-lined ceiling make evenings in feel just as rewarding as days out on the slopes – three ski resorts, including Palisades Tahoe and Homewood, are within a twenty-minute drive. Come summer, the deck comes into its own, with a hot tub, barbecue, and a canopy of tall pines overhead. Paige Meadows trails in the National Forest are a seven-minute walk, and Tahoe City's restaurants, beaches, and shops are less than ten minutes away.
