Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Tucked into the pines above Lake Tahoe's North Shore, this cabin rewards cold mountain days with a wood-burning fireplace and vaulted ceilings that make the living room feel generous after a day on the slopes. A sun-warmed timber deck looks out over the forest – good for long dinners when the air is still. A self-contained lower-level apartment with its own entrance gives groups or families real breathing room. Northstar California Resort is less than 5 miles away, and the lake itself – perfect for kayaking or a summer swim – sits within 2.1 miles.

About Tahoe Vista
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
