Floor-to-ceiling windows pull the pine forest right into the living room of this Tahoe home, where a stone hearth makes it easy to linger long after a day on the slopes. A skylit kitchen gives everyone room to cook together, and the main suite opens directly onto a deck wrapped by trees – offering the perfect spot to savour the fresh air. Northstar is less than ten-minute drive away, and Kings Beach – with white sand, restaurants, and shops – is just three minutes from the front door.

About Kings Beach
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
