Nestled among tall pines, this timber cabin offers a comfortable base for exploring Tahoe Vista throughout the year. After a day on the slopes — Northstar is around a fifteen-minute drive away — you can unwind in the private hot tub on the deck overlooking the surrounding trees. The backyard features a lawn, wildflower beds, and views across the Brockway Golf Course fairway. Kings Beach is within walking distance, while a dedicated upstairs playroom provides additional space for families and groups to spread out.

Home truths
One of the bedrooms has a single-over-double bunk bed that can sleep up to three people – we think it might be best suited to children.
For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot – worth requesting in advance to make sure it's ready on arrival.
You'll find four parking spaces here – two in front of the home and two in front of the garage – but the garage itself isn't available to guests.
In winter, road conditions can make four-wheel drive or snow chains necessary to reach the home, so factor that in when planning your transport.
If you're planning to barbecue, note that charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county – the deck barbecue is gas only, so there's no need to pack charcoal.

About Kings Beach
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
