Surrounded by tall pines, this Kings Beach apartment offers a peaceful setting close to North Lake Tahoe. Inside, vaulted ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace bring character to the living space, while the breakfast bar creates a practical spot for casual meals and conversation. Two timber decks provide space for outdoor dining and relaxing among the trees, and a rope swing off the main bedroom deck adds a playful touch. Guests also have access to a shared outdoor pool, while Kings Beach — known for its sandy shoreline, water sports, and seasonal events — is around a twenty-nine-minute walk away.

Home truths
For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
There's no air conditioning here, so summer stays will rely on natural ventilation and the shade of the surrounding forest. If you're visiting during a warm spell, the decks are your best bet for catching a breeze in the evenings.
The shared community amenities – pool, sauna, fitness centre, and sports complex – are seasonal and not managed by your host. They're typically available from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with common closures in April–May and September–November, so check the dates if they're a priority for your trip.
You'll need a car to get around, and four-wheel drive or snow chains may be necessary in winter conditions. There are two parking spaces in the shared lot in front of the home.
Only an electric grill is available for barbecuing – charcoal grills are prohibited in this county and carry a $1,500 fine, so leave yours at home.

About Kings Beach
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
