Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Set along the golf course fairway within a Northstar community, this home is as much about the mountain air as the slopes. Step out onto the deck after a day's skiing and the private hot tub earns its keep – views of the course and peaks stretching out ahead of you. Inside, pine forest fills the living room windows, and a wood-burning fireplace does the rest. A complimentary on-demand shuttle stops at the door, linking straight to the village and ski lifts, while a recreation centre access adds a communal lap pool and shared outdoor hot tubs to the mix.

Home truths
One of the bedrooms has two bunk beds that can sleep up to four people – we think it might be best suited to children.
The home sleeps up to ten but only has seating for eight at the dining table.
The shared lap pool and shared outdoor hot tubs are typically closed in April–May and September–November. Check availability before you travel if these amenities are important to your trip.
The barbecue on the deck is only available during the summer months.
While there's no air conditioning here, your host can provide fans for the warmer months.
Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's free parking for up to four cars on the driveway. Winter driving conditions can be challenging, so 4-wheel drive or snow chains may be necessary.

About Truckee
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
