A pine-wrapped cabin beside the Truckee River, this house earns its place as a winter base – the ski shuttle stop is walkable, putting Squaw Valley within easy reach without touching a car key. Inside, cathedral ceilings and a fireplace make the living room a draw on powder days, while the rustic dining room, with its dramatic timber framing overhead, was made for long group dinners. When the slopes are done, a hot tub tucked among the trees and a gas fire pit in the garden keep the evening going.
