A 16th-century rectory turned noble residence, this villa on the shores of Lake Garlate carries centuries of history in its carved ceilings, four-poster bedrooms, and worn stone garden steps. There's a private pool for laid-back afternoons, and two balconies catch the light at either end of the day – dawn coffee or a sunset aperitif, take your pick. Bellagio's cobblestone lanes are about thirty-two minutes by car, while the tranquil Lecco lakeside is even closer, making this a strong base for exploring some of Lombardy's finest lake country.
