Tucked into a characteristic ancient Roman alley between Piazza Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Farnese, and Piazza Navona, this ground-floor apartment is in a great spot in Rome's historic centre. Inside, vaulted ceilings lend a sense of the ancient city you're sleeping within, while a small terrace off the living area is a sheltered spot to ease into the morning. The Roman Forum is a nineteen-minute walk away, with Palatine Hill and the Colosseum not far beyond – meaning the city's most storied ruins are all within comfortable reach on foot.

Home truths
The layout here spans two levels connected by an internal staircase – the main living area, terrace, and double bedroom are on the entry level, while the second living room with additional sleeping is on the level below. If you're travelling with anyone who has mobility concerns, it's worth factoring in this split across the stay.
At full occupancy, six guests will sleep on sofa beds. There's one sofa bed in the main living area, and two more in the second living area on the lower level. The main living area also has a single futon-style bed that's best for a child.
