Sitting on the fifth floor of a La Roquette residence – lift and all – this apartment looks out over one of Paris' most lively neighbourhoods, with the metro a one-minute walk from the front door. The 11th arrondissement's cafes, bakeries, and restaurants are right on the doorstep, making it as easy to spend an evening locally as it is to head further into the city. Inside, two private en-suite shower rooms make the apartment practical for groups, and the kitchen opens into the living area so there's a natural space to gather after a day out.

Home truths

  • At 34 sqm, this apartment is compact for six guests. Several guests found it comfortable for four, so if you're a larger group, expect cosy rather than roomy living areas.

  • The building entrance can be easy to miss. If you're arriving after dark or with luggage, it's worth checking the check-in instructions carefully before you arrive.

  • Parking here can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible.

  • At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.

  • You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.

  • This home is lift-accessible – it may suit guests with reduced mobility.

Paris truly...
