Converted from an 18th-century paper mill in the heart of the Penedès wine country, this villa is a rare find. The soaring loft, where paper once hung to dry, now doubles as a lounge and social space made for group gatherings, while an indoor greenhouse blurs the line between inside and out. A plunge pool, teppanyaki grill, and barbecue sit beneath a fairy-lit canopy – if that's not idyllic, we don't know what is. Factor in the private cinema, the option to arrange chefs and transport, and the close proximity to Sadurní d’Anoia’s famous Cava cellars, and there are countless reasons to fall in love with this home.

Home truths

  • At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a small double bed in the loft space. We think it's best suited to children and teenagers.

  • You'll want a car here. The home sits in a small village in the Penedès countryside, and while the setting is peaceful, you'll need to drive to reach vineyards, restaurants, and beaches. Free parking is provided.

  • The ground floor of the building is independent and closed to guests – it doesn't affect your privacy or comfort, but it is worth knowing the home occupies the upper two floors rather than the entire structure.

  • This is a historic building with different levels and staircases. If you're travelling with young children or anyone with reduced mobility, your host recommends factoring this in before booking.
