Big and bright, this three-floor apartment is bursting with characterful details that make it stand out. Wood floors, large windows and period accents – like the ornamental fireplace – make a welcome impression in the living room with an exotic art collection that’s rivalled only by the array of lush houseplants – including the ones on that roof terrace. Overlooking beautiful Brompton Cemetery (one of the Royal Parks), this outdoor haven is the ideal spot to begin mornings over coffee and an alfresco breakfast and end evenings over glasses of wine as you watch the sunset over the city. With a separate dining room – a rarity in London – as well as two large bedrooms and a sumptuous Italian rainfall shower, not to mention the large collection of books to peruse, you’ve got everything you need for a relaxing treat of a stay. Outside of your home, you’ve got Chelsea on your doorstep with the King’s Road a fifteen-minute walk away, while South Kensington’s world-class museums are a twenty-five-minute stroll from your door.

Home truths

This home is spread over three main floors as well as some half floors, so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility

Unfortunately, this home isn't suitable for infants under two years old

This is a genuine home with a lot of the host's personal belongings on display giving it plenty of character – those looking for a more minimalist aesthetic may wish to look elsewhere

You'll need to bring your own shampoo

Out of respect for the neighbours, your host won't be able to accommodate check-ins later than 11.30 pm or before 7 am

There's no parking here but we recommend skipping the car and using London's excellent public transport instead – West Brompton station is an eight-minute walk away

About Earl's Court

Kensington’s more down-to-earth neighbour, Earl’s Court is a well-rounded base to explore West London – and beyond. Relaxed restaurants, traditional pubs and leafy side streets characterise the neighbourhood. Make sure you visit The Troubadour, an iconic music venue that hosted Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell in its prime. You’re more likely to walk in on a lowkey jazz session these days, performed under a decades-old collection of instruments...
