Grade II listed and in the heart of Belgravia, this family home is a rare central London stay that pairs period character with a fresh, contemporary feel. The gas fireplace brings a cosy touch to the living room, a wine fridge is on hand to keep your evening drinks perfectly chilled, and the wraparound first-floor balcony is a nice touch. You'll also have exclusive access to the residents-only gardens, playground, and outdoor gym in Belgrave Square – a real perk in this part of the city. Harrods is a five-minute walk away, King's Road is a fifteen-minute stroll, and Hyde Park's 350 acres are all within easy reach, making this an excellent base for exploring London.

Home truths

  • The dining area is on the compact side – it seats four at the table with three stools at the breakfast bar, so there's space lacking for groups of eight.

  • This home is not suitable for small children.

  • The third bedroom has a single-over-double bunk bed that can sleep up to three people.

  • One of the third-floor bedrooms has a king-sized bed that can be converted into a single bed with a pull-out trundle on request. Speak with your host in advance to arrange the configuration that suits your group.

  • You'll have access to the residents-only gardens of Belgrave Square around the corner. It includes a private playground and outdoor gym equipment.

  • You'll enter on the ground floor, but the main living space is on the first floor. The bedrooms are spread across the second and third floors, so expect to climb a fair few stairs during your stay.
