An 18th-century mas set within a 10-hectare domaine, this villa is the kind of place where a morning swim in the 18m pool gives way to a long lunch on one of the stone terraces, with Luberon countryside stretching out in every direction. Olive groves, cherry orchards, a hiking trail, and an old pond fill the grounds, while inside, a living room hung with bold original artworks and tall windows looking onto ancient stone walls offers a more contemplative pace. Saignon village is just 4km away, and Gordes is about thirty-four minutes by car.

Home truths
You'll need a car to make the most of your stay here. Parking is available on the premises.
Air conditioning is available in seven of the nine bedrooms. The two children's bedrooms on the second floor of the main house are not air-conditioned, so if you're travelling with older children or teens who feel the heat, it's worth factoring that in when allocating rooms.
The annexe is a separate building divided from the main house by the summer kitchen, so guests staying there will step outside each time they move between the two parts of the villa.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide up to three cots and two high chairs on request – make sure to ask in advance when booking.
The garden is large and characterful but comes with steps and some unprotected terraced levels, so it's worth keeping a close eye on young children when they're playing outside.

About France
You could easily take a lifetime’s worth of French holidays and still feel like you haven’t scratched the nation’s surface. The most visited country in the world, France has long inspired artists, revolutionaries, dreamers, and bons vivants with its storybook landscapes, artistic treasures, and cultural idiosyncrasies. Paris is, of course, the country’s glittering centrepiece but there are countless beauty spots worth discovering outside of the City of Light. Sun yourself...

Host
This home is managed by Oliver
This home is managed by a business on behalf of its owner. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.
This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
