Tucked into a grand Georgian townhouse in Edinburgh's New Town, this apartment comes with something rare in the city centre – a private walled stone courtyard where you can settle in with a glass of wine after your adventures. Inside, there's just enough space for everyone to stretch out, with a bespoke kitchenette that hides away when you're not cooking. George Street is around five minutes on foot, Princes Street Gardens ten minutes, and the Royal Mile a fifteen-minute stroll – so you're well placed whether the plan is gallery-hopping, dining out, or simply wandering Edinburgh's extraordinary streets.

Home truths
The second double bed is located in a little snug. Space is tight, so we think it's best for one adult or two small children.
You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.
Entry to the building uses an online key system accessed via your phone, so make sure your device is charged before you head out for the day and that you have mobilie data or wi-fi.
There's a clothing rail instead of a proper wardrobe, so we'd recommend packing light.
Please note that construction on a neighbouring building is currently underway and may result in some daytime noise.

There’s a lot more than beautiful architecture on offer here though. Located in the centre of the city, it’s a short walk from Waverley Station, and well serviced by public transport. Princes Street, George Street, St Andrew’s Square, and the West End...
