Set at the rear of a building in the heart of Le Marais, this 3rd arrondissement apartment trades street buzz for quiet – a rare thing when the Centre Pompidou is a three-minute walk from your door. The living space is comfortable and well-considered, with a desk if you need to work and a kitchen for easy mornings before heading out. Place des Vosges is sixteen minutes on foot, Sainte-Chapelle around twelve, and the neighbourhood's Jewish quarter, Renaissance mansions, and acclaimed restaurants are all woven into the streets right outside.

Home truths
At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
At 35 m², this apartment is compact by most standards. If you're a group of three or four, you'll want to travel light, as the sofa bed in the living room leaves little room to move around when open.
Your host can provide a cot for little ones.
You'll need to climb a flight of traditional Parisian stairs to reach the apartment – there's no lift.
The apartment faces inward onto the building's courtyard rather than the street, which keeps things wonderfully quiet but also means natural light is limited. It can feel quite dark during the day.
Parking in Paris can be challenging, so we recommend arriving by public transport where possible. The RER B from Charles de Gaulle Airport connects easily to the neighbourhood, and two metro lines are within a five-minute walk.
