Sitting directly on the Gulf in Seagrove Beach, this apartment puts the water about as close as it gets – floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors frame uninterrupted Gulf views from the living area, and the wrap-around balcony is the kind of place where mornings slow right down. Each of the three king bedrooms has its own bathroom, so groups travel comfortably without the usual jostling. Between May and October, sea turtle nesting season is in full swing on these beaches. You'll need to keep balcony and porch lights off at night and close the blinds to avoid disorienting hatchlings.
Walton County rules mean any beach chairs, umbrellas, or personal items left unattended overnight – from one hour after dusk to one hour before sunrise – will be discarded. Plan to clear everything off the sand before heading in for the evening.
