A secluded garden in central London is rare, and this Little Venice apartment makes the most of it – bi-fold doors in the living room fold back completely, and the third bedroom opens onto the same patch of green. When the weather turns, a dedicated cinema room with a large projector screen offers a convincing alternative. Warwick Avenue Tube is a five-minute walk, the canal-side neighbourhood with its cafes and independent shops is three minutes away, and Little Venice's picturesque waterways are a ten-minute stroll. All in all, we think this is a comfortable base tucked away in one of London’s quieter – and most charming – locales.

About Maida Vale

Leafy Maida Vale is one of London's most sought-after residential areas and for good reason. If you sidestep the tourists posing for photos on the zebra crossing made famous by that Beatles cover, you’ll quickly find what makes this part of town quite so special. Home to beautiful streets of white stucco houses, the very instagrammable canals of Little Venice, and lots of interesting places to eat and drink, Maida Vale residents certainly know how to live well. The BBC's Maida Vale studios means that many residents are bigwigs in the music and creative industries.
