A proper beach compound on Florida's 30A coast, built for gatherings that call for more than a standard rental can offer. The centrepiece is a resort-scale pool and spa, ringed by a vast deck with a shaded cabana – somewhere to linger long after the sun has dropped. Four levels of porch space rise to a fourth-floor lookout deck with Gulf views, while a separate carriage house gives larger groups a welcome pocket of privacy. Public beach access is less than half a mile away, and a six-seater golf cart and six bicycles make the rest of the coastline yours to explore.

Home truths
At full occupancy, six guests will sleep on sofa beds – two in the second-floor common area, two in the third-floor living area, and two in the carriage house living area.
This home has an internal lift, so it may be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
One of the bedrooms has two queen-over-queen bunk beds that can sleep up to four people – we think it might be best suited to children.
The beach is less than half a mile away – an easy walk, though the six-seater golf cart included with the home makes the trip even simpler if you're hauling chairs and coolers for a large group.
The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. You'll need to request them in advance.
The swimming pool isn't fenced.
