Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Tucked among pines, this mountain house is for groups who want something more than a cabin. Soaring vaulted ceilings and walls of glass frame golf course and mountain views, while multiple living areas – each with a fireplace – give everyone somewhere to settle after a day on the trails or slopes. The deck and private hot tub are made for evenings under a clear Sierra sky. Palisades Tahoe is a fifteen-mile drive, and Lake Tahoe's beaches are within ten miles.

Home truths
You won't have access to the community amenities during your stay – these are reserved for members and their guests only.
If you're travelling with children under twelve, they're welcome but can't use the hot tub – worth planning around if that's a draw for the little ones.
The wi-fi here is slower than you'd expect at home. If you're planning to work remotely, factor that in and consider downloading anything you'll need before you arrive.
Firewood for the fireplaces isn't provided, so pick some up at a local grocery or hardware store on your way in if you're planning cosy evenings by the fire.
There's free parking for up to four cars on the driveway.

About Truckee
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
