Home truths
The living space sits on the top floor and the bedrooms are one floor below, so you'll naturally move between floors when settling in for the evening or heading up to bed after dinner.
Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones upon request.
Both bedrooms share one bathroom. It connects to the main bedroom via a private door and to the hallway for the second bedroom – both doors lock from inside for privacy, but you'll be coordinating a single bathroom between two guests or two couples.
All bedding is duck feather and down – if anyone in your group has a feather allergy, let your host know in advance and alternative bedding can be arranged.

Local guide
About Kensington
Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
