The Pantheon neighbourhood is one of Rome's most storied corners, and this top-floor apartment puts you right at its heart – the Pantheon itself is a four-minute walk, the Temple of Hadrian is practically on the doorstep, and Piazza Navona is nine minutes on foot. Up on the top floor, reached by lift, the mezzanine loft bedroom lends the place an artist's-studio feel, with small windows framing views over Roman rooftops and St. Ignazio church opposite. On warm evenings, you might catch live music drifting across the courtyard from the rooftop bar below.

About Pantheon
Pantheon is usually thronged with architectural and religious pilgrims, all on the hunt for the church. This fascination, which comes both from sheer wonder, and also a more complex response to a temple that has been dedicated to a variety of creeds, has understandably packed the surrounding streets with sellers of tat and bad ice cream. This is one of Rome's loudest areas, with the restaurants and bars staying open...
Explore the area
Local restaurants, cafes, museums, sites and activities, recommended by our community of hosts and travel experts

Visit a controversial monument at the Vittoriano
Often derided by the Romans as a typewriter or wedding cake, the giant monument to Italy's first king has a panoramic terrace that offers a 360º view of the city.

Have a healthy meal at Ginger
With plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, Ginger's salads and smoothies offer a contrast to typical Roman fare.

Have espresso or gelato at Giolitti
Those in the know enjoy their espresso in a small glass cup at this café, which is also known for its award-winning gelato.

Get your caffeine at Tazza d'Oro
After visiting the Pantheon, get your espresso fix (or a granita di caffe’) in this old cafe with a retro vibe that has been serving great coffee since 1946.

Let yourself be overwhelmed by the Pantheon
The massive concrete dome with its oculus is a breathtaking work of engineering. Dating from Augustus’s reign, it is now a site of Catholic burials.

Sip world-famous coffee at Sant’Eustachio il Caffe
A bastion of gourmet coffee since 1938, their brews are prepared following a secret recipe using beans roasted in-house.

Admire the Caravaggios at San Luigi dei Francesi
This Renaissance church is known for the three beautiful paintings by Caravaggio devoted to the life of St. Matthew.

Hit up the mall at Galleria Alberto Sordi
Named after Rome’s favorite actor, this beautiful gallery is perfect for some shopping or a break in one of the pretty cafés.

Optical illusions at Sant'Ignazio
The Andrea Pozzo-designed ceiling gives the illusion of a real dome as well as a realistic impression of St. Ignatius ascending to heaven.

The Museum of Rome at Palazzo Braschi
This beautiful Renaissance palace holds a fantastic permanent collection, as well as hosting regular temporary exhibitions.

Try the delicious delights at Pane e Salame
A hip, tucked-away modern bistro offering platters of meats and cheeses paired with Italian wines. Enjoy the friendly service, great prices, and traditional food in a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

Indulge in Venchi's chocolate and gelato delights
Explore the largest Venchi store on Via del Corso and be captivated by the mouthwatering aroma of chocolate. Sample a wide variety of chocolates and ice creams, and treat yourself to a heavenly experience. Don't miss this indulgent culinary delight.

Host
This home is managed by Burghesius
This home is managed by a business on behalf of its owner. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Burghesius is led by sister Lavinia and brother Gregorio Borghese. Starting a business with a sibling might seem bold — but for us, it felt natural. Together, we set out to create something genuinely different: a new standard of luxury. From Rome, to Tuscany, and beyond. With years of experience in hospitality and property management, we understood that the modern traveller seeks more than a place to stay. They seek a feeling, a rhythm, a home that blends comfort, character, and discretion.
