A meticulously preserved 1848 home in the heart of Chatham, this house carries its history lightly – original wood floors, Federalist glass doorknobs, and exposed brickwork sit alongside a kitchen built for proper group cooking. Outside, the heated pool and surrounding patio draw you out from late spring through autumn, with a hot tub and fire pit ready for cooler evenings. Oyster Pond Beach is a five-minute walk, Main Street's shops and restaurants are eight minutes away, and Chase Park with the historic Godfrey Windmill is just around the corner.

Home truths
Bedrooms five and six have single-over-double bunk beds that can each sleep up to three people. We think they work best for children.
The pool is only open from Memorial Day through Columbus Day weekend, so if you're visiting outside that window you won't be able to use it. Worth checking the dates against your trip before booking.
