A former art gallery in the heart of Gordes, this house sits steps from the château and village fountain. The entryway opens directly onto the square, so morning coffee comes with a front-row view of village life, while the top-floor bedroom looks out over the Luberon valley, lavender fields, and vineyards. Exposed wooden beams, antiques, and local artwork fill the rooms with a sense of place that no amount of styling could manufacture. Abbaye de Sénanque is around a ten-minute drive away.

This is a lived-in home. You should expect some of the host's personal belongings to be present during your stay.

The internal staircase is narrow and steep, which can make manoeuvring large suitcases between floors quite a challenge.

The village square can be lively during the day, but the home stays calm once you close the windows, and the square settles in the evenings. If you're a light sleeper, you may want to keep that in mind for afternoon naps.
