Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Located on a 100-acre estate once owned by the bankers to the Medici family, this farmhouse is as Tuscan as it gets. Outside, the vast terraces and swimming pool are designed to make the most of the next-level views of the hilltops and private lake (yes, really). Inside, the interiors may be a little fussy for some, but it’s all perfectly in keeping with the age of the home, and each bedroom has a private bathroom to speed mornings along. You’ll need a car to get around as the nearest shops and restaurants are a ten-minute drive. But for a home this blissfully private, we’ll take that. Besides, its just twenty minutes to Volterra if you fancy sightseeing.

Home truths
It’s worth noting that one of the bedrooms sleeps three guests with a double bed and a single sofa bed. Perfect for a small family sharing, but it might not suit everyone.
The house is reachable through an unmade road, making it unsuitable for sports cars or drivers unfamiliar with country roads. There is covered parking for four cars and additional guest parking within the grounds.
The swimming pool is only available to use between 1st April and 23rd October. It also isn't fenced, and there's a lake a ten-minute walk from the home. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
