Down a quiet, pretty mews in Kensington, Clay Meadows has a textbook, west London feel to it. Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and the Design Museum are all a short walk away, while the tube station is even closer. The design of the house is a bit haphazard – there isn’t much adherence to any particular theme – but each individual piece of furniture is decent, and it’s all tasteful. We particularly liked the big bedroom on the first floor, with its fireplace and the balcony (although the lack of clothes storage is a shame).

About Kensington
Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
