Home truths
This home is split across two levels with a lot of internal stairs so be prepared for some up and down
The staircase leading up to the first floor doesn't have rails so probably isn't suitable for toddlers or older guests
The bed is not huge and only has a bedside table and reading light on one side
The bathroom is a bit tired-looking – the grouting in particular could do with a bit of love

Local guide
About Kerem Hateimanim
Nestled in between the Carmel Market and the beach, you'll find Kerem Hateimanim, a small neighbourhood founded by Yemeni immigrants in the 1930s. It’s come a long way since then, and today it’s been taken over by bohemian Tel-Avivians looking for affordable housing. Even though Kerem Hateimanim is in the process of being gentrified, the neighbourhood hasn’t lost the authentic, village-like feel that’s beloved by many. There are still plenty of the original Yemenite restaurants around, which are worth a visit, even if you don’t end up staying in this part of the city.
