Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Ana and Miguel are a couple on a mission. Hand-picking striking pieces of art to put into this minimalist-chic home, they've created a balance between white space and warm pastels. This might not be the most luxurious home in our collection, but knows how to work its assets, such as the exposed wooden beams in the living room.

About Puerta del Sol
Puerta del Sol is the epicentre of the city and home to Madrid’s most famous meeting point – ‘Oso y El Madroño’, the bear with the strawberry tree. The central square of this neighbourhood is quite literally where all the roads in the Iberian peninsula lead to, which means it’s really hard to get lost if this is where you want to go. This area is popular both day and night, with buskers, natives, and tourists snapping photos of some of Madrid’s most iconic sights.
Explore the area
Local restaurants, cafes, museums, sites and activities, recommended by our community of hosts and travel experts
Eat, shop, walk and explore Plaza Mayor
With some of the most emblematic sights of Madrid, Plaza Mayor should be the first thing to see on your list.
Hunt for treasures at El Rastro
Every Sunday, a small area of Madrid turns into the most popular flea market–El Rastro. Hundreds of shoppers scout for rare items, and they say side streets have the best goods.
Indulge in churros at San Ginés
Churros in Madrid are almost compulsory. We recommend San Ginés, one of the oldest chocolate shops in the city.
See the postcard sights at Puerta del Sol
From the famous Tio Pepe sign to the statue of Charles III, Puerta del Sol offers some of Madrid's most famous sights in one place.
Visit the Convent of las Descalzas Reales
Rich widows and unmarried daughters used to bring their dowries when they joined, and it was forbidden to sell or display such treasures. Visit the few remaining nuns and curiosities.
Drink and dine at El Imparcial
Located in a former publishing house, El Imparcial is bookstore, bar, and restaurant combined in a beautiful ambiance.
Eat like a local at La China Mandarina
Even though La China Mandarina is in the heart of a tourist area, it's really a place for locals. Freelancers use it as workplace cafe while enjoying the great coffee.
Mingle with like-minded foodies at San Miguel market
Originally built in 1916, this market encapsulates the contemporary essence of all the types of Spanish cuisine–and with over 10 million visitors a year, it's a real gastronomic hub.
Get your avo toast at La Rollerie
A locally recommended brunch café with a beautiful interior. La Rollerie has a good variety of breakfasts and an outside terrace for those want their eggs al fresco.
Spend the evening exploring La Latina
The charming neighborhood of La Latina is a maze of narrow streets, jammed with bars and restaurants – you'll be spoiled for choice.

Host
This home is managed by Ana & Miguel
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Ana works in a bank and her husband is an architect. They love decoration and travelling, so they moved to Chile a few years ago to explore South America. They came back to start a passion project centered around design and travel, and now own a few lovely homes around Madrid.
