A rustic, no-fuss apartment situated in a 17th-century palazzo, Triton’s Shell is an ideal choice for travellers always on the go. We loved getting a taste of Rome’s history without having to set foot out the door – expect an original timber bed canopy as well as coffered ceilings and tiled floors – plus the odd vintage knick-knack thrown in for good measure. You’ll notice the kitchenette is equipped with the basics, but that’s where the line between comfortable homestay and high-end hotel starts to blur – you have the option of ordering three square meals direct to your dining table. Not only that, but you’ll benefit from daily housekeeping and a linen change every two days. The only thing that’s left to do, is explore. The magnificent Trevi Fountain is less than a minute’s walk from your doorstep, while a ten-minute stroll places you at the Pantheon, Imperial Fora and vibrant Via del Corso.
