This double-fronted cottage from the 1800s is perfect for a family break in the Cotswolds. Just a few minutes walk from the centre of Tetbury, you’ve got plenty of local boutiques to explore, not to mention a plethora of nearby beauty spots like the Tetbury Trail walking route, Highgrove House and Gardens (1.5 miles away) and Westonbirt Arboretum (4 miles). Lots of steep stairs inside and out mean little ones will need to be supervised. But there’s a dedicated children’s room here with toys and books, and a working fireplace in the living room – perfect for grown-ups looking for a cosy spot to unwind with a glass of wine. The home also has a terraced garden with views over the countryside, ideal for barbecues when the weather is balmy.

Home truths
This is an old building and the staircase is narrow and steep, so children should be supervised. There are lots of steps both into the house and to access the terraced garden, therefore it would not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
The third bedroom is equipped with a child's bed that is only suitable for a toddler. If you're travelling with little ones, your host can also provide a cot for free. You'll need to request this in advance and supply your own cot linen.
There's only one bathroom here for all guests.
The garden is equipped with a charcoal barbecue. You'll need to bring your own charcoal, however.
We recommend having a car here to get the most out of your stay. On-street parking is available.
