Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This apartment in Trastevere is ideal for those keen to drop off their bags and head out into the city to explore. Sure, at full occupancy two people will have to take the sofa bed in the living room, but it won’t be at any real expense of lounge space. The terrace is an added bonus here, just the spot for an evening glass of limoncello – it is slightly overlooked by neighbouring homes, but that’s unlikely to worry you as the Italian sun warms your skin.

Home truths

Parking in Rome can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible.

At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area.

Air conditioning is available in the living room only.

There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home.

The terrace is overlooked by neighbouring homes, so lacks a little privacy.

The ceiling in some areas is on the low side – it might not suit taller guests.

The bedroom curtains here don't fully block out the sunlight. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask

Your host doesn’t accept bookings from groups of young people (under 21 years) at this home.

About Testaccio

Testaccio is built on food, or rather, food containers. Founded in first century BC as a river port, it was where Rome's supplies of olive oil, grain and wine arrived into the city. Everything was transported in terracotta amphorae, which were smashed on arrival and discarded. Centuries of this practice created a vast mound of terracotta fragments – the Monte dei Cocci – which has become the district's defining feature....
