This is a cosy bohemian home in one of the most picturesque neighbourhoods in Lisbon. We loved the large windows that allow the sunlight in throughout the day, and the small balcony off the master bedroom that lets in a cooling sea breeze carrying the sounds and smells of neighbourhood life. In addition, there are a few well-placed details that help to bring out the apartment's unpretentious charm, including the mismatched kitchen tiles, bright crocheted cushions and captivating wall art. Step out into the cobbled streets, and you'll find shops selling traditional crafts alongside quaint cafes where you'll have to sit at an angle to accommodate for the incline. You're only a hundred metres from the hilltop ruins of Castelo de São Jorge, while the iconic 12 and 28 trams stop five minutes away, allowing you to put your feet up at the end of a long day exploring Lisbon's seven hills. Finally, walk ten minutes for spectacular views from Miradouro da Graça that stretch over the city to the River Tagus.

About Graça
Graça is the highest point of Lisbon's seven hills, sitting just above the beautiful Alfama. You’ll find some of the best views of the city in this neighbourhood. Wind your way slowly up and down the cobbled streets, pausing at viewpoints to take in the pastel-painted walls of Alfama. The downside to the incredible views is the steepness of Graça – we advise taking it steady and calling in to local bars and restaurants for regular energy-boosts. As the sun sets over Lisbon, you’ll find your efforts in finding the perfect terrace worthwhile.
